Three Village Historical Society & Museum
Commitment to Non-Partisanship

The Three Village Historical Society is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the history of the Three Village area for the benefit of all members of our community. We are committed to fostering an environment where individuals of all backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives feel welcome to learn, engage, and participate in our programs and are welcome at our museum.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Society does not participate or intervene in political campaigns on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office, political party, or partisan political organization.

Political Neutrality
To preserve public trust and uphold our mission, the Three Village Historical Society:

  • Does not endorse, oppose, or campaign for any candidate seeking elected office.

  • Does not endorse or oppose political parties, political platforms, or partisan political agendas.

  • Does not permit Society programs, events, facilities, publications, social media platforms, or other communication channels to be used for campaign activity, electioneering, or partisan political advocacy.

  • Does not accept campaign sponsorships, promotional partnerships, or campaign-related participation from individuals who are actively running for elected office.

  • Does not promote campaign appearances, distribute campaign materials, or provide preferential access to Society events (including, but not limited to public programs and the Three Village Farmers & Artisans Market) for the purpose of supporting or advancing a political campaign.

Relationships with Public Officials
The Society values positive working relationships with elected officials at the local, county, state, and federal levels in support of historic preservation, education, tourism, and community initiatives. The Society works with and welcomes currently serving public officials from all political parties on an equal and nonpartisan basis when their participation relates to the Society's mission and serves the public interest.
The Society may invite or recognize elected officials when they are participating in their official governmental capacity or in connection with public funding, historic preservation, educational initiatives, or other mission-related activities. Such participation shall not be construed as an endorsement of any individual, political party, or campaign.

Inclusion and Equal Access
The Three Village Historical Society welcomes all visitors, members, volunteers, donors, trustees, staff, and community partners regardless of political affiliation or ideology. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Personal Political Activity
