Visit the Litchfield Historical Society Museum. The town’s history spans the Revolutionary War through the Colonial Revival and into the Modern Movement. It is also home to the Litchfield Law School, America’s first law school, opened in 1784.

7:00 am - Meet at Port Jefferson Ferry
7:30 am - Ferry departs (need to confirm time when fall schedule comes out)
9:00 am - CT bus pick up at Bridgeport
10:30 am - Litchfield Historical Society tour 1 *Benjamin Tallmadge collection
12:00 pm - **Buffet Lunch at The Village Restaurant (included in ticket price - please note, this restaurant is NOT handicap accessible. The dining room can only be reached by stairs and is located on the 2nd floor.)
1:30 pm - Litchfield Historical Society tour 2 ***Walking tour: Heroes of the Revolution
3:30 pm - Cemetery tour with Beverly Tyler, TVHS Historian
5:00 pm - Board bus back to Bridgeport Ferry
6:30 pm - Ferry back
7:45 pm - Arrive in Port Jefferson

***Walking Tour: Heroes of the Revolution: A walking tour on the role that Litchfield played during the Revolution, with particular emphasis on Benjamin Tallmadge and his unit, the 2nd Continental Light Dragoons.
