The Three Village Historical Society and the Historical Society of Greater Port Jefferson invite you to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Cedar Hill Cemetery with two events:
June 10, 2010
Wine and Cheese Reception from 7-10 p.m.
at the Port Jefferson Visitors Center.
The celebration will commence with a photo exhibit of Cedar Hill Cemetery courtesy of Chris Ryon and George Moriatis. Gene Horton will give a presentation: "Sleeping in Suffolk", a look into the notable and historic figures buried in Suffolk County cemeteries at 8:00 p.m.

Spirits Tour
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cedar Hill Cemetery
Liberty Avenue, Port Jefferson
As you embark on a guided walking tour through the historic Cedar Hill Cemetery, you will visit with "Spirits" who will share experiences that touched the lives of individuals in our communities from yesteryear.
Tours leave every 15 minutes from the Port Jefferson High School parking lot located at the corner of Old Post Road and Dark Hollow Road in Port Jefferson beginning at 10:00 a.m. The last tour leaves at 4:00 p.m. Each tour lasts approximately one and a half hours. You must be able to independently walk this tour over unimproved hilly terrain. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sunscreen. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour's departure. Allow extra time for parking. Tour is rain or shine. No refunds.
